
Bill Karpovich
CEO
Bill was the first outside investor in Synaptic in 2020 and became CEO, leading to the spin out of mobile ISV Youreka with the backing of Salesforce Ventures in 2021 and sale to Vista-backed Dispatch in 2022.
Bill is the instigator behind Synaptic’s AI-enabled “Solution as Service” strategy which builds on 30 years of pioneering new technologies and business models in enterprise software including cloud, mobile and open source.
Bill experience spans garage-stage-startup through IPO and global scale. Bill was General Manager in IBM's Cloud and Watson Platform Division. Bill was also a key executive with several ground-breaking, Maryland-based, startups including USi (first SaaS provider, NASDAQ IPO), Digex (first IaaS provider, NASDAQ IPO), Sonatype (Software Supply Chain) and Zenoss (Open Core).
Bill is also the founder of Cofactor Ventures, a cloud and AI-focused investment fund, and he started his career at Accenture as software architect.

During his more than twelve years as CEO, Tom led Synaptic through significant growth, developing industry-focused capabilities, successfully launching products on the AppExchange and being recognized multiple times as part of the Inc. 5000.
A seasoned entrepreneur, leader, advisor, and investor, he has built, scaled, and successfully exited several companies. His experience spans both operational leadership and strategic investment, with a focus on AI-driven innovation and automation.

Jonathan Perl

Jonathan Perl, General Partner at Boulder Ventures since 2002, brings over 28 years of venture capital expertise in early-stage technology investments.
